Campopiano Roofing is a 40-year old family owned business in the residential and commercial roofing, siding, windows, and restoration market in Northeast Ohio. We work on both residential and commercial properties, in which our team members take great pride in the work they do. Responsible for selling and preparing accurate, timely estimates and contract negotiation on potential commercial roofing, siding, and sheet metal projects.

  • Estimate, compile bids and generate proposals so that they are completed on time.

  • Make site visits to collect bidding information.

  • Work in tandem with sales staff to prepare proposals for completion before prospective customer due date.

  • Assist in winning new business by reviewing estimates within established parameters. (Bid Review)

  • Review/prepare proposed project bids in accordance with company bidding procedures, with essential overall cost accuracy.

  • Perform core cuts on existing roof systems and properly patch water tight.

  • Review contracts for accuracy in price and scope.

  • Prepare submittal packages.

  • Prepare notice of award for manufacturer guarantees.

  • Prepare change order estimates for approval.

  • Prepare purchase orders request.

  • Participate in pre-construction meetings.

  • Participate in pre-job meetings with handoff from estimating to project management on assigned projects.

  • Coordinate project activities to attain successful goals on all projects by focusing attention to on time and in budget project completion.

  • Complete project closeout documents.

  • Participate in post-job review/analysis of actual costs to estimated costs through job cost system for use on future projects.

  • Assist in winning profitable repeat business by cultivating customer relationships during management of projects.


The Commercial Estimator will spend time at both contracted and potential work sites along with office time.  Commercial Estimator will be exposed to varying temperatures ranges from heat 90 degrees plus to cold weather which could include temperatures in the teens, and rainy conditions. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Sales or Estimating experience

  • Knowledge of various roof systems, materials, construction process and design, code compliance, and manufacturers requirements for safety

  • Navigate software programs and accurately enter data in estimating software

  • Proficient in MS office, XL, typing and computer navigation skills

  • CAD Experience is a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively internally and externally at C-level

  • Excellent listening and negotiation skills

  • Superior verbal and written communications skills

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge

  • Stable work history

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience

  • Must speak English fluently, Spanish is a plus

  • Must have a valid driver license and be able to pass our insurance carrier driving requirements to drive a company vehicle.
